La Bella Vista apartments are located in a picturesque village in Mala Seve - Malija, which is located above the plaza of Piran. Its surrounded with wineyards and olive trees.
When you are in Malija - Mali Seva, you are in Slovenian Istria. You are surrounded by olive trees and vines, which will produce grapes for good coastal wine in the fall. The warm air from the sea and the view of its horizon invite you to explore the surroundings on foot, by bike or even from horseback.
Cycling
There are a number of marked bike paths with a beautiful seaside view, where you can admire Istrian architecture and learn about the history and natural wonders of the Slovenian seaside. The most known bike path is the Prenzana path, which expands from Trieste to Poreč and runs just around our village of Malija.
Hiking
You can take relaxing hikes around iconic hillsides that are surrounded by olive trees and blooming Mediterranean plants, which work wonders for your body and soul. Exploring the vast sandy walking paths that lead you to stunning views on Piran and Trst bay are really showing you those pristine summer vibes. We can also recommend evening strolls in Strunjan and the amazing salt fields of Sečovlje.
Beaches and swimming
The selection of beaches you can choose from is vast - from public beaches to wild beaches like Mesečev bay. The nearest beach is public beach in Portorož that is 5 km away. On the other side of hills you can also find the beaches of Izola and Strunjan. If you're an adventurer you will enjoy wild beaches like Bela skala, the famous Mesečev bay and the beaches under the Belvedere Hotel.
Horseback riding
Small tourist farm Medljan, located near Mala Seva, offers tourist horseback riding, hospitality drinks and refreshments. Experiencing the seaside view on a horse, sounds charming, right?
Visiting Piran and Izola
A short 10 minute drive can take you to two of the most charming coastal towns, Piran and Izola, that attract most people that visit the Slovenian coast. Piran with it’s medieval architecture and narrow alleys surrounded by Italian influenced architecture houses encapsulates the days gone by. You can also take a stroll along Izola to be taken away by the old fishing village charms of the past Venetian days.
Postojnska jama, Škocjanske jame in Predjamski grad
We recommend the visits to Postojna cave. A small train will take you inside the cave where you’ll see beautiful artifacts that nature created. After that you can visit Predjama castle that is carved in the mountain and is one of the most historic and culturally breathtaking places in the world. To make your vacation memorable you can visit the Škocjan caves, a local gem of the Kras region - UNESCO protected.
Ljubljana
We can’t forget to recommend visiting the capital city of Slovenia - Ljubljana. Ljubljana is the largest city in Slovenia and with lots of interesting antiqe remains that show you it was an important Roman trading city. Ljubljana is diverse and culturally rich city that attracts many tourists..

Despite the small coast Slovenia coast cuisine is rich and full of Mediterranean flavors. We recommend you visit local restaurants that make an authentic istrian cuisine atmosphere. We recommend visiting the restaurant Korte - a traditional istrian dining experience, that includes fresh and locally acquired ingredients that are combined to create extraordinary dishes to experience. Wine cellars
Wine lovers and enthusiasts can visit the family owned farm Korenika & Muškon, a vineyard that produces and harvest ecological and biodynamic vines. They are located in the village of Korte, very near La Bella Vista apartments. A very good choice is also the family-owned winery Robi & Dorjano Korenika, located at the entrance of the village Korte, where they produce top-quality wines and olive oil. Another excellent option is Kantina Ivančič Winery in Šared. Visit them and taste the tradition.
